About LendCedar
LendCedar is a field guide to personal installment loans. It helps you read an offer line by line, see what your state lets a licensed lender charge and decide what to ask before you sign.

Who runs LendCedar
LendCedar is the name of this site and of the business behind it. Our mailing address is 1305 W 11th St, Suite 688, Houston, TX 77008, United States. You can write to contact@lendcedar.com or use the contact form. Messages go to the editorial team. We cannot review a loan offer or advise you on your own situation.
What LendCedar is
- A reference. Guides on the parts of a loan offer, how lenders look at different borrowers, each step from checking your credit to the first payment, common costs people borrow for and state rate limits and license rules.
- A set of calculators. Four calculators that run in your browser and show worked examples with your own numbers. Our methodology explains the math.
- A way to send a loan request. If you choose to, you can fill in the loan request form. We pass it to lenders and loan brokers who may contact you. Any offer comes from them, on their terms.
What LendCedar is not
LendCedar is not a lender, not a loan broker and not a government agency. We do not make credit decisions, quote rates, approve loans or hold your money. We do not rank lenders or endorse any of them. We are not a law firm, and nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice for your situation.
LendCedar never asks you for a fee to get a loan. If anyone who mentions our name asks you to pay upfront, pay with gift cards, or wire money before any loan reaches your account, stop and treat it as a likely scam.
How the pages are made
The LendCedar Editorial Team writes and checks every page. We do not use bylines with personal names, and we do not claim credentials we cannot show. Facts come first from statutes, state regulators and federal agencies such as the CFPB and the Federal Reserve. Each page lists its sources and shows the date it was last updated. State pages carry the date their rules were checked, and dated changes go on Rule changes. The editorial policy describes the process in full.
You will not find awards, star ratings, testimonials, press logos or visitor counts on this site. We have none to show, and they would not help you read a loan agreement.
How LendCedar is paid
Lenders and loan brokers pay us for loan requests we pass to them. You pay nothing to use the site or to send a request. That payment does not change what our guides say or what the calculators show. How we make money gives the details.
Report an error
If a figure looks wrong, a law has changed or a link is broken, send a note to contact@lendcedar.com or use the contact form. Point to the page and, ideally, a source for the right figure. We check every report and correct confirmed errors.
