Request this amount

Describe the loan you have in mind. LendCedar passes your request to lenders and loan brokers who may contact you with offers; you compare them and decide.

  1. The loan you have in mind: amount, purpose, credit and income.
  2. Your contact details and your consent to be contacted.
  3. A lender or loan broker may contact you with an offer. Nothing is decided until you sign with a lender.

LendCedar is not a lender or a loan broker and does not make credit decisions.

Your credit, as best you know

You pay LendCedar nothing. Lenders and loan brokers pay us for requests, and they set their own rates and terms. How we make money.

Why the amount to request is more than you need

Many online lenders take the origination fee out of the loan before they send the money. You sign for the full amount and repay all of it with interest, but you receive the amount minus the fee. To end up with a set sum, divide it by one minus the fee rate and round up to the next dollar: $5,000 with an 8% fee needs a loan of $5,435, of which $434.80 goes to the fee.

The fee is part of the finance charge, so the APR comes out higher than the interest rate: at 18% for 36 months the example's APR is 24.12%. Net loan proceeds explains the fee and what to ask the lender.

Limits of the estimate

Lenders round fees and payments in their own way, may charge the fee as a fixed dollar amount, and may approve a different amount than you request. A loan amount above what your state allows for a licensed lender, or above the lender's own maximum, will not be offered; check your state's rules.
